Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Masjid is a community masjid in Katampe Estates dedicated to worship, Islamic learning, and service. We provide a welcoming space for Muslims to strengthen their faith, seek knowledge, and serve the community following the Quran and authentic Sunnah.
Our Story
Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Masjid was established to serve the Muslim community of Katampe Estates with a clear vision: to provide a blessed space for worship, authentic Islamic education, and community service. Named after the great companion Umar Ibn Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), we embody his legacy of justice, knowledge, and dedication to Islam.
Located in Katampe Estates, Abuja, our masjid serves families and individuals seeking a spiritual home rooted in the Quran and Sunnah. We are committed to creating a welcoming environment that strengthens faith, promotes authentic knowledge, and fosters brotherhood and sisterhood among Muslims.

Why Umar Ibn Al-Khattab?
Our masjid is named after Umar Ibn Al-Khattab (رضي الله عنه), the second Caliph of Islam and one of the greatest companions of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). Known for his justice, knowledge, and dedication to Islam, Umar (RA) exemplified the values we strive to embody in our community.
